Flower Dobby Rug

Dobby refers to the type of weave, it's more complex than most handweavers' looms can manage. If you look at the back of this rug, all the yarn for the flowers runs on the underside, until it's pulled up to the surface for the design.  The loom I weave these on is computerized, which gives me a lot more design potential, I'm not limited to a certain number of pattern combinations. No, I'm still threading the loom, and throwing the shuttle, the day when I can just turn on the loom and go sit on the deck while it weaves is still pretty far in the future! Besides, I do like weaving....  Anyway, this rug is 5-3/8" x 7" and $20.
